My name is James, I am a Mississauga born photographer. I’ve spent the last three months shooting literally all over Toronto.
I want to share the awesomeness of Toronto in my products so everyone can enjoy the beauty, diversity, and greatness that is Toronto without having to take the long journey!
From one end of the street, to the other, I’ve shot barber shops, cafes, churches, bars, restaurants, graffiti, architecture, art, clothing stores, houses, tattoo shops, bike shops, liquor stores, gift shops, vintage shops, and more!
Having all these photos makes it possible to create posters that capture the aesthetic and feel of that area of Toronto being featured.
When I shoot, I start at one end of a street and make my way down shooting the opposite side, and when I reach the end I turn around and go all the way back shooting the other side. This gives me total coverage, shooting almost every single building along the way.
After editing all the photos, each one is tagged with the street they were taken on, what neighbourhoods they fall into, and what it is, that being a bar, church, restaurant, or other!
I now have a HUGE database of photos, all indexable so I can find anything I want!
Today, I’m still walking around Toronto taking more and more shots. I have more neighbourhoods, streets, bars, cafes, and so much more to capture. My hope is everyone will be able to find that part of Toronto they love on Shaky Shutter!
